Advanced modelling in Power BI

This course will teach how to model data in Power BI when you build a prototype or a self-service BI solution. The course is aimed at BI professionals and analysts who already have some experience with Power BI. The course is based on Power BI Desktop but the concepts can also be done in Excel with Power Pivot or Analysis Services Tabular in SQL Server. There will be several hands-on labs.

Prerequisites

  • Attendees should bring along a laptop with Power BI Desktop.

  • The Calculate() function
  • Implementing common calculations in DAX, including date calculations
